I’ve been playing around with QtRuby this week. I love it. All the fun of Qt without the complexity of C++ syntax. I even found the infamous Trolltech Qt Tutorial #1 converted to QtRuby. I hope to have some very fun yet useless apps working soon.

Oh and new from PragProg, The Friday’s Series, which happened to launched with Rapid GUI Development with QtRuby

Rails Time, Don’t Miss the Train

The Ruby and Rails books arrived today. Yes, I’m jumping on the bandwagon here. No, I’m not leaving PHP. Just going with what works. And it does seem to work, pretty well.

I’d like to see the installation of Ruby alongside PHP get a little easier, but maybe I haven’t spent enough time with it. I’ll dig in and post my thoughts.

When Cake catches up with Rails, ping me, I’ll be in my cave, digging for Ruby.
