The Code Linux
If you’ve ever been curious about the beginnings of Linux, but don’t have the patience to read Just For Fun?
The Code Linux is a great documentary on the creation of Linux and the Free Software Movement.
Note: there are some interviews in Swedish [or Finnish??], but most of it is in English, and very easy to digest, even if you’re not a techie.

Say it, with buildings.
Snap
Snap is probably the most useful addition to the web I’ve seen in a while. Seeing the destination of a link before you click. So incredibly useful. I can see myself actually being annoyed if a site did not offer this on their links.
Observations:
- It seems to render snapshots with Flash 7. A Flash 8 site like 247HH.com only renders the get flash page.
- Will this help Phishing attacks? Maybe yes because it will show users the real destination before they click, however once Phishers create a cloned landing page, it may give users a false sense of security. (read: don’t depend on it)
- I wonder how often a Snap of something like CNN.com will be cached for?
***just to clarify. I’m excited about the snapshot service that’s being displayed on my site when you mouseover the link. Snap.com is a search engine, which to me in itself, is not as interesting.
